I personally think it's ruining the idea of the PC, but Microsoft seems to think that they're accomplishing something. I have posted a demo video link at the end of this article, so you can see more in-depth what it is like, but this is the Windows 8 Home Screen.

This does look pretty cool, but not in the normal every day PC. To me, this looks like one of the leading computer manufacturers made their own version of the Apple iPad. Microsoft did do a good job, but still, this doesn't look like it belongs in a regular PC. What I mean by this is where are the programs? I notice that icon in the corner that says "desktop," but still, where is Microsoft Word? What about iTunes? Adobe Reader?
Microsoft definitely has good ideas with this new operating system, but will it be as successful as Windows XP was? Most people were almost afraid of the release of Windows Vista and 7, but will Windows 8 pull them away from their trusty XP?
